DVRC Spring 2011 Charity
Given the recent number of worldwide natural disasters, the Charity Committee chose the American Red Cross for our Spring Conference charity donation.
Red Cross Regional Chapter Executive, Patrick Delaney, and Rob McCreary, Development Manager were present at the Conference to accept the donation.
Patrick and Rob provided a very informative overview of Red Cross services from First Aid & CPR training, care and support of our military and their families, and help to seniors through the Red Cross Lifeline personal emergency response program. Their Community Disaster Education training and emergency preparedness was presented to almost 9,000 of our friends and neighbors.
DVRC provided a $1,000 check in support of the American Red Cross and DVRC members attending the conference contributed an additional $335.00. DVRC agreed to match the contribution for a total donation of $1,670!
